Two soldiers from North Korea, who were wounded but survived, were captured by Ukrainian fighters. The SBU is currently communicating with the prisoners
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Chroniclers reports.
"Our soldiers captured soldiers from North Korea in Kurshchyna. These are two soldiers who, although wounded, survived, were brought to Kyiv, and are communicating with SBU investigators," the president noted.
According to the head of state, this case is significant, because usually the Russians and other military personnel from North Korea finish off their wounded and do everything to ensure that there is no evidence of the participation of another country - North Korea - in the war against Ukraine.
"I am grateful to our soldiers of tactical group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and our paratroopers who captured these two people," says Zelensky.
He added that the prisoners receive the necessary medical care.
"I instructed the Security Service of Ukraine to provide journalists with access to these prisoners. The world should know what is happening," the head of state emphasized.
