Warsaw Mayor Ahead of Institute of National Remembrance Head in Poland's Presidential Race

Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski is more than 5% ahead of Karol Nawrocki, head of the Institute of National Remembrance, in the presidential race in Poland, but the gap between the two main candidates for the country's top job is narrowing.

This is stated in a survey by the United Surveys center for Wirtualna Polska, conducted in early January, Ukrinform reports.

Earlier, Nawrocki stated in Polish media that today he does not see Ukraine in either the EU or NATO, “until the civilizational issues important to Poles are resolved.” He added that Ukraine cannot become part of international alliances until it deals with its own past, in particular the issues of the Volyn tragedy in relations with Poland.
