The terrible fuel oil disaster of the Black Sea reached the Odessa shores - after storms, fuel oil, which spilled after the accident of Russian tankers in the Kerch Strait, was carried by a storm onto a sandbank in the Katranka recreational zone near the Danube Biosphere Reserve and the Tuzlivsky Limany National Park.

This was announced today, January 24, by Ivan Rusev, Doctor of Biological Sciences and Head of the Research Department of the Tuzlivsky Limany National Nature Reserve, reports Inshe TV.

"Against the backdrop of large-scale negative impacts on the Black Sea and the killing of tens of thousands of dolphins during a full-scale invasion by sharks, against the backdrop of the disaster from the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam, this ecological disaster will become another negative and significant addition to the gradual loss of life in the Black Sea," Ivan Rusev wrote and added that the national park team is currently conducting an inspection of various sections of the spillway to establish the extent of the pollution.
