Lazy cabbage pie is a universal dish that is suitable for any occasion. The ease of preparation and availability of ingredients make it a real find for every housewife. Try this recipe, and it will definitely take pride of place on your menu!
Ingredients:
- White cabbage - 400 g;
- Eggs - 3 pcs.;
- Sour cream (15-20%) - 200 ml;
- Flour - 150 g;
- Baking powder - 1 tsp;
- Butter (for greasing the mold) – 10 g;
- Salt - to taste;
- Black pepper - to taste;
- Dill or parsley – 1 bunch.
Method of cooking:
Finely shred the cabbage. If you are using old cabbage, mash it a little with your hands with a pinch of salt to make it softer.
In a deep bowl, mix the eggs, sour cream, salt and pepper. Gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. The consistency of the dough should be like thick sour cream.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish with butter or line with parchment paper. Spread the cabbage in an even layer on the bottom of the dish, pour the dough over it, spreading it carefully with a spoon.

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake the cake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. You can check the readiness with a wooden skewer - it should come out dry.
Cool the finished pie slightly, then cut into portioned pieces. Sprinkle with finely chopped herbs for decoration and serving.
Cooking tips and secrets:
To make the pie more filling, you can add fried minced meat or grated cheese to the filling.
For spiciness, add a pinch of nutmeg or a little garlic powder to the dough.
If you want a brighter flavor, use red cabbage instead of white cabbage.
For a delicate aroma, add a pinch of dried dill to the dough.
The pie is delicious both warm and cold, making it perfect for a picnic or lunch on the go. Enjoy!
