Colombia agrees to accept deported migrants from the US - White House

The White House said Colombia has agreed to "unlimited admission" of illegal migrants being deported from the United States.

This is stated in the message of CNN, reports Ukrinform.

“The Colombian government has agreed to all of President Trump’s terms, including the unrestricted admission of all Colombian illegal immigrants returning from the United States, including on military aircraft — without restrictions or delays,” said White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt.

She emphasized that Donald Trump's administration has suspended the introduction of new tariffs against Colombia - provided that the country implements the agreement.

At the same time, Leavitt clarified, visa sanctions against Colombian officials, as well as stricter customs checks on Colombian citizens and cargo ships, remain in effect until the first US plane carrying deported migrants returns after a successful mission.
