The Russian army needs more cannon fodder
On average, to cover the losses of the occupation army, Moscow plans to mobilize 10 people from the so-called "special contingent" every month.
In 2025, the aggressor state Russia plans to recruit at least 280 people, including 126 soldiers from the so-called "special contingent," to replenish the losses of the occupation army in the war against Ukraine. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense on Thursday, January 30.
"These are Russians who are serving sentences in prisons, are under investigation, have loan arrears and other problems," the report says.
According to intelligence, on average, Moscow plans to mobilize 10 "special contingent" members every month to cover the losses of the occupation army.
"In general, to replace the losses of existing military units and formations in the war against Ukraine, the aggressor state intends to mobilize at least 2025 thousand occupiers in 280," the GUR added.
It was also reported that over the past year, the total losses of the Russian military amounted to more than 434 thousand personnel. At the same time, the media confirmed the names of 90 thousand Russians killed.
