Ukrainians expressed their opinions on social networks regarding Donald Trump's statements about Greenland, the Panama Canal and Canada.
The other day, the newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, spoke about expanding the territory of the United States. He suggested the possibility the use of military measures to acquire the Panama Canal and Greenland. Trump also voiced the idea of turning Canada into a separate American state.

In social networks, users reacted to the statements of the US president. Ukrainians reacted with humor to the news about the "capture" of Greenland and other statements of the newly elected US president.
Valery Pekar, an entrepreneur and teacher at the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, suggested that "Greenland should be sold to Australia, Taiwan should be sold to the European Union, and Alaska should be sold to Canada."
"I suggest that Greenland be sold to Australia (they know how to extract ecologically), Taiwan be sold to the European Union (it will be beneficial for everyone), the state of Georgia be sold to Sakartvelo (the name is the same anyway, so at least they won't get confused), Alaska be sold to Canada (because it is nearby), the Novaya Zemlya archipelago be sold Israel (why? - I don't know, they will come up with something there). And I have not yet decided which of the districts of Moscow to sell to Tajikistan. And Crimea is Ukraine," he wrote in his publication.
Public figure Serhiy Koshman jokingly assumed, that "if Trump attacks Greenland, NATO will apply Article 9 ¾".
In another post, Koshman wrote: “One more week in this spirit, and public opinion in the US will consider Greenlandic extremism the greatest threat to human security, which needs an immediate solution. Putin will offer US help in the fight against Greenlandic terrorism. A working group will be created. Iran will join."
"I still expect that all Trump's statements about Greenland, Canada and Panama are a smokescreen for negotiations so that Beijing and Moscow think they are just as ambitious," Andriy Osadchuk, deputy head of the law enforcement committee of the Golos faction, wrote on his Facebook page.
NV journalist Olga Dukhnich also posted a humorous post on the topic of Trump and his statements on her page.

Rostislav Demchuk, a journalist and political observer, noted that Donald Trump is noticeably "progressing in the study of geography and country studies." "Well, let's say that Donald Trump knew about the existence of Canada and Mexico. But who helped and encouraged Trump to find Greenland and Denmark on the world map?" Demchuk wrote.
"And the year has only just begun," journalist Kristina Berdynskikh briefly commented on recent events.
"That drove Hryts into the weeds. Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal. And it hasn't even arrived on January 20," — posted journalist Yevhen Buderatskyi has his page.
Public figure Maksym Rohatsky described the situation briefly: "Greenland in three days."
Journalist Denys Kazansky decided to "throw" several ideas to Donald Trump. Among other things, he wrote that "Canada is an artificial state" and that "Canada was created in the British General Staff."
