Fighters of the 425th Assault Battalion "Skala" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully cleared the positions of Russian troops and thwarted their plans to advance towards the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
This was reported by the press service of the operational-strategic group of troops "Khortytsia", Chas Pik reports.
The operation began with a decisive strike by a Ukrainian tank, which was the first to go on the offensive. The tank destroyed key positions of the occupiers, opening the way for further actions by the stormtroopers.
The fighters of the "Skala" battalion thoroughly cleared the area, neutralizing Russian soldiers who tried to hide in trenches and dilapidated buildings. Thanks to the precision and coordination of their actions, the Ukrainian defenders fully completed the task.
After clearing the positions, a reinforcement group was deployed to the occupied territory, which allowed the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strengthen the defense and prevent repeated attempts by the enemy to advance in this direction.
The operation near Pokrovsk is of strategic importance. It allowed stopping the advance of Russian forces in one of the important directions in the Donetsk region. At the same time, the actions of the tank unit and assault troops of the "Skala" battalion once again demonstrate the high level of training and fighting spirit of the Ukrainian army.
The Khortytsia Group of Forces thanked the fighters for their courage and professionalism, which help bring Ukraine's victory closer.
