The Acura RSX coupe will be reborn as an electric crossover. The production model will be based on the Performance EV concept and will receive a platform developed by Honda. The premiere of the new product will be held in 2025.
It is known that the multimedia will run on ASIMO OS, which parent company Honda showed at CES 2025. The model will be produced at the Honda EV Hub plant in Ohio. The deadline is the end of this year.
For Acura This will be the second fully electric model in the portfolio. The first also bears the historical abbreviation – ZDX, but is built on the BEV3 “cart”, which went to Honda as part of a partnership with General Motors. The electric ZDX can be rear- or all-wheel drive, with one or two electric motors. In the first case, the power is 363 horsepower, in the second – 497-507 forces. The crossover’s battery has a capacity of 102 kWh. The range is up to 504 kilometers according to the American EPA cycle.
