A high salary does not mean that you are a smart person. Researchers from Sweden think so.
Scientists from the University of Linköping studied the salary data and compared them with the register of the Swedish population, which passed the test on cognitive abilities.
It turned out that after the mark of 64 dollars of income, the connection between knowledge and salary begins to weaken. The results show that the top one percent of highest-paid professionals actually do worse on cognitive tests than those just below them.
Also, the authors of the study found that the occupations of accountants, doctors, lawyers, professors, judges and senior government officials do not reflect the level of human intelligence.
