Meet the new Cadillac Lyriq-V — the fastest car in the brand's history, which will also be a high-performance version of the luxury electric SUV that the American brand will re-enter the UK market with this year.
As he tells NNews with reference to autoexpress, is the first all-electric vehicle in Cadillac's V-Series lineup, which was previously known for powerful gasoline-powered sports sedans to rival the BMW M3 and M5, as well as a 682-horsepower version of the huge Escalade SUV.

Since Cadillac plans to sell exclusively electric vehicles in Europe, the Lyriq-V doesn't have a supercharged V8. Instead, it features a twin-motor powertrain that delivers 615 hp, 880 Nm of torque, and all-wheel drive — similar to the BMW iX M60.
The Lyriq-V weighs more than 2,7 tons without passengers, but Cadillac claims the car can accelerate to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 3,3 seconds thanks to a standing start system and Velocity Max mode. Its 102 kWh battery provides up to approximately 458 km of range.

To improve performance, Cadillac equipped the Lyriq-V with heat-resistant Brembo brakes, updated the suspension, lowered the ride height, and made the steering more responsive.
In addition, there is Competitive mode, which increases maneuverability, and V-Mode, which can be activated via a button on the steering wheel or via the 33-inch touchscreen on the instrument panel. The Lyriq-V also plays a synthesized, multi-layered soundtrack to enhance the driving experience.
Visually, the Lyriq-V is distinguished by a new front bumper, side skirts, body-color accents, numerous V-Series badging, and 22-inch wheels. An optional carbon fiber exterior trim and unique Magnus Metal Frost paint finish are also available.

The regular Cadillac Lyriq will go on sale in the UK this year, priced from £75,000. The Lyriq-V is also expected to be launched to compete with the most powerful versions of the BMW iX, Mercedes EQE and Polestar 3.
