A bus from Kyiv to Chisinau was involved in an accident in Moldova
In Moldova, a Kyiv-Chisinau bus veered off the roadway and crashed into a metal fence and a road sign.
A bus traveling from Kyiv to Chisinau crashed in Moldova, injuring two passengers, NewsMaker reported on Saturday, January 25.
The accident occurred on the highway near the village of Peresechyne, Orhei district. The first to report the accident was a bus passenger. According to her, the driver fell asleep at the wheel and lost control, causing the bus to veer off the roadway.
The police later confirmed the accident.
"According to preliminary information, the driver, born in 1956, who was driving a bus on the Kyiv-Chisinau route, traveling from Balti to Chisinau, lost control of the vehicle under unknown circumstances," the police said.
The bus left the roadway and crashed into a metal fence and a road sign. Two passengers, a man and a woman, were injured in the incident. They were taken to the hospital.
