Almost two decades ago, Acura introduced the RSX coupe to its lineup. Next year, the iconic nameplate returns in a new format: an electric crossover with a coupe-like design. Prototypes of the model will hit the road this week, and the Japanese brand has already shared the first image of the new model.
What is known about the novelty
The photo shows a dynamic cross-coupe with an elegant sporty silhouette and retractable door handles. The charging port is located on the front left wing, and the narrow taillights are combined into a stylish “monolight”, which gives the car a modern look.
The new model will be produced at a new plant in Ohio, USA, where Honda also assembles electric cars. Prototypes of these models were recently presented at the CES 2025 exhibition in Las Vegas. Acura will use an entirely new platform, the details of which are still being kept secret.
Currently, there is only one crossover in the Acura electric segment — ZDX, but with the return of the RSX, the brand is clearly preparing to expand its electric vehicle range.
