The health of the heart depends on heredity for only a quarter, and for three quarters - on our lifestyle. And every bite of "harmful" food today increases the risk of a heart attack or heart attack in the future. But if the heart is ready to forgive some foods - not even the most useful ones - then there is food that is better to delete from your diet forever. For the sake of our own health and longevity.
Processed meat
Bacon, ham, sausage and sausages are common, but, unfortunately, very dangerous food. Oncologists and cardiologists unanimously recognize these products as harmful and carcinogenic. It's all about saturated fats, which are abundant in such meat products, as well as sodium, which is used to increase the shelf life of meat. Both of these are literally deadly for our heart - so we should think about whether such risks are justified for the sake of momentary pleasure?
Red meat
Do you see a juicy steak with mushrooms or a pork chop? Cardiologists see salt, cholesterol and saturated fat literally knocking the heart and blood vessels out. It is clear that doctors are not beasts (well, at least most of them) and do not demand to completely abandon red meat: they simply call for reducing its share in the diet to three or four portions per month.
Potato chips and ready-made popcorn
Both of these can even be good for our heart, but only under one condition: you prepare these delicacies yourself. And do not add salt to them. The fact is that almost all of us significantly exceed the safe dose of salt every day, because of which we risk our hearts again and again - unfortunately, in the literal sense of the word. Try to avoid foods with hidden salt and reduce the amount of salt in the dishes you prepare yourself.
Diet drinks
Sweet sodas and juices (even fresh) are dangerous for the heart because they are essentially sugar concentrates, but so-called diet drinks that use sugar substitutes are even worse. Regular consumption of "zero" drinks seriously increases the risk of heart disease - as well as the risk of cancer and dementia.
Instant noodles
Who among us did not eat instant pasta during school or student years? If we had known how much salt they contained (almost half of the daily allowance), we would probably have given them up even then. Do you need more arguments? Please! Almost all types of instant noodles are deep-fried - what could be worse for our blood vessels? Try never to eat it again - for your own good!
