The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, dismissed Serhii Kyslytsa from the post of Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations. This is stated in the corresponding decree on the website of the President of Ukraine.
According to the presidential decree No. 870/2024, Serhiy Kyslyts was dismissed from the position of Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, as well as from the positions of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on a concurrent basis .
Evgenia Filipenko was also dismissed from the post of Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Branch and other international organizations in Geneva.
Serhiy Kyslytsia - what is known
Serhiy Kyslytsia is a diplomat and political activist, he has held the position of Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN since 2020. Before that, from March 2014 to February 5, 2020, Kyslytsia was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. He also held important diplomatic posts, namely in the USA, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and other countries.
In addition, he was the head of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO and had a significant influence on international issues, including human rights and the equality of women and men.
