A light four-stage launch vehicle Vega-S of the European Space Agency (ESA) launched on December 6 from the Kourou Cosmodrome in French Guiana and successfully launched an Earth remote sensing satellite into orbit Sentinel-1C.
This was Vega-C's third launch and the first since the failure of the launch vehicle's second stage in December 2022 resulted in the complete loss of its payload: the Pléiades Neo 5 and Pléiades Neo 6 satellites.
Sentinel-1C designed to collect data on the state of the earth and ocean surface, as well as to monitor areas where natural disasters occur.
