Two experimental studies by students in China have shown that if you make your facial skin smoother, it will start to appear more beautiful to people. Moreover, they will not even notice that something has changed.
In the first experiment, 36 students were asked to compare images of faces and answer whether they were the same. In one photo of the couple, the skin was smoothed using the program.
Interestingly, the more the facial skin in the image was smoothed, the better the participants distinguished the original version from the improved version.
Analysis of the results of the second experiment showed that the smoother the facial skin, the more attractive it was perceived. The prettier the face, the more likely it was to be perceived as different.
