Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e affordable electric vehicles introduced in India. Crossovers will go on sale from February-March 2025. They were told about on the car manufacturer's website, writes "Focus".
Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e electric coupe-crossovers are built on a completely new INGLO platform with independent suspension of all wheels. Their wheelbase is the same - 2775 mm.
Mahindra BE 6e
The new Mahindra BE 6e is a compact electric crossover priced from 1,89 million rupees ($22). The car, 500 m long and 4,37 m wide, is characterized by a chopped design with large angles of inclination of the roof racks. It has original thin headlights and lanterns.
Inside the Mahindra BE 6e, there are two displays on the front panel, and the first row seats are separated by a tall console. The car has 455-liter rear and 45-liter front trunks.
Mahindra XEV 9e
Mahindra XEV 9e electric car is slightly larger - 4,79 m in length. The crossover coupe resembles its younger brother, but its design is more elegant - with a curved roof.
The interior of Mahindra XEV 9e has three displays on the front panel, and removable tablets are available for rear passengers. In addition, it has larger trunks: 655-liter rear and 150-liter front. The price starts at 2,19 million rupees ($25).
Mahindra electric cars - characteristics
Both cars are offered in rear-wheel drive versions with 231 and 286 horsepower. More powerful options start up to 100 km/h in 6,7-6,8 seconds.
Volkswagen batteries with a capacity of 59 and 79 kWh are available to choose from. Mahindra BE 6e has a range of 550-682 km, while the XEV 9e has a range of 533-656 km. Fast charging to 80% takes 20 minutes.
