Sentences for encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine were announced to 64 deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation

64 deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation were found guilty of encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine by the prosecutors of the Chernivtsi regional prosecutor's office for maintaining a public accusation

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, they were sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property, Chroniclers reports.

Prosecutors proved in court that the actions of Russian deputies, aimed at changing the territorial borders of Ukraine, violated the Constitution of our country and led to victims and grave consequences.

In February 2022, they supported the resolution with an appeal to the President of the Russian Federation with a request to consider the issue of recognition of the so-called "DNR/LNR", as well as the ratification of the cooperation agreement between the aggressor country and these pseudo-republics, which became the reason for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted in absentia by investigators of the SBU Department in Chernivtsi region.
