Current US President Joe Biden plans to hold a conversation with the leaders of the G7 countries on Friday regarding the situation surrounding Ukraine, as well as continuing efforts to support it.
This was stated by White House adviser John Kirby at a press briefing in Washington on Thursday, Ukrinform reports.
"Biden is going to communicate in virtual mode with his colleagues, the leaders of the G7 countries. They will discuss a number of issues of our joint support for Ukraine", - noted the representative of the US administration.
He did not specify the details, but reminded that the conversation will take place after the US has allocated $20 billion to the World Bank fund, which will provide economic support to Ukraine within the framework of the G7 emergency loan in the amount of $50 billion.
In this context, the representative of the administration emphasized that this is aimed at using the income from the frozen sovereign assets of the Russian Federation to restore Ukraine, which should also reduce the burden on taxpayers of Western countries.
"Here in the United States, we will continue to explore ways to maximize the use of these assets.", Kirby noted.
