"Special" pies made of pita bread taste like yeast dough, and have a puffy texture. The recipe is from the universal category, because with it you can prepare both sweet and salty pies at the same time. Do you want a supplement for lunch or a snack, or do you want something sweet with tea or coffee.
Prescription products
For pies, you need to prepare the following list of products:
- pita bread - 2 sheets;
- potatoes - 1 kg;
- butter - 50 g;
- minced meat - 0,3 kg;
- onion - 1 pcs.;
- herbs to taste;
- vegetable oil.
The recipe has a separate category of products for preparing batter:
- milk - 0,25 l;
- chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
- flour - 0,15 kg;
- starch - 3 tablespoon;
- salt - ½ tsp.
Step by step preparation
Prepare the filling from potatoes and minced meat. Root vegetables should be boiled until ready and mashed. Chop the onion and fry it in vegetable oil. When it becomes transparent, add minced meat to the pan. It is necessary that the moisture evaporates from it. Then add 50 ml of water and simmer again until the liquid evaporates. Salt, pepper to taste. We send the greens to the hot minced meat with onions. It can be any, for example, dill or parsley. Put the butter in the puree, add the minced meat and mix well.
Unroll the pita sheets and put the filling on them. Spread over the surface and wrap in a roll. Now cut it into small portions. The preparation can wait a few minutes, because you still need to prepare the batter.
For it, milk, eggs, and salt are combined. Dry ingredients are also mixed separately (flour, baking powder, starch). Now the two parts of the batter can be combined into one container.
Prepared rolls are dipped in batter and sent to fry until done on both sides. Quick pies are ready. If you want something sweet, then add less salt to the batter, and wrap jam, chocolate with banana, applesauce or cottage cheese with raisins in pita bread. It will be very tasty. Such pies can be prepared at least every day.
