Szymon Holovnia, Marshal of the Lower House of the Polish Parliament
Participation in various types of military measures in Ukraine could only take place under the auspices of NATO and within the framework of the Alliance's structures, the Marshal told the Seimas.
Marshal of the lower house of the Polish parliament, candidate for the presidency of Poland Szymon Holovnia did not rule out the participation of Polish troops in the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, but it should be under the auspices and within the framework of NATO. He said this during a visit to Finland, commenting on the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to deploy peacekeepers in Ukraine, Rzeczpospolita reports.
According to Golovna, "some plan (regarding the mission in Ukraine — ed.) is beginning to appear on the horizon." However, he emphasized that it is still far from agreeing on such a plan.
"From the Polish perspective, our participation in various military operations in Ukraine could only take place under the auspices of NATO and within the framework of the Alliance's structures," he said.
Marshalok added that currently the Polish side does not know the details that are being discussed between the presidents of France, Finland, Ukraine and the American administration.
