Rumors of a new affordable Tesla Model Q electric car costing less than $30 have surfaced in China. According to insiders, the automaker plans to introduce several new electric cars in early 000.
According to the Global ChinaEV portal, Tesla will start production of a new electric car called Model Q in the first half of next year. The project is codenamed Redwood and will be 15% smaller and 30% lighter than the Model 3. Insiders say the electric car will get an LFP battery pack, available in 53 and 75 kilowatt-hour configurations, as well as single- and dual-motor options.
However, this information may turn out to be just a rumor, as Elon Musk previously canceled plans for the release of new, cheaper Tesla electric cars to focus on the creation of the unmanned Cybercab and Cybervan.
