For the sixth day in a row, a multi-thousand-strong rally against the authorities is taking place in Tbilisi. The special forces started to disperse the protesters again. This is reported by "Echo of the Caucasus".

Thousands of people gathered again in front of the Georgian Parliament building to protest against the "Georgian Dream". Special forces disperse the participants of the action, using water cannons and tear gas.


At the same time, protesters are again firing fireworks at the parliament building. After the "firework comets", the participants of the action use bazookas with fireworks.

Some people came to the rally with buckets and poured water on the special forces, who used fire hoses against them.

Along with the protesters was also the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, who made an emergency statement. During the night, security forces tried to disperse the protesters by using water cannons.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Iraklii Kobakhidze, said that Georgia is refusing negotiations on joining the EU until 2028. The Prime Minister stressed that Georgia is not going to join the EU "begging and standing on one leg". According to him, the country wants to join the bloc "with dignity, with a healthy democratic system and a strong economy." This became the reason for the development of protests with new force.

Georgia's higher education institutions have suspended work in protest against the government's decision to freeze the country's accession to the European Union until 2028.
