The Syrian Democratic Forces captured the anti-aircraft missile systems "Kub" left by the military of the country's former leader Bashar Assad.

A video of their transportation was published on the X network.

The footage shows trucks transporting four 2P25 self-propelled launchers that the democratic forces captured in Deir ez-Zor.

According to unconfirmed information, as of 2018, the Syrian Air Defense Forces had about 125 Cube launchers.

Due to the impossibility of timely support, a certain number of these installations were used as spare parts donors, and new Russian Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems arrived in their place.

The captured air defense systems are only a small part of the weapons that both the opposition forces and other groups in Syria were able to capture. Forces under the control of the Assad regime often left these weapons on the battlefield and in permanent deployment points to avoid clashes.
