Russia faced problems. We are talking not only about serious losses in the war in Ukraine, but also about Syria and the Kursk region. Not everything is smooth for the Russians there either. However, Vladimir Putin needs to convince the newly elected US president otherwise.

Russian opposition political technologist Abbas Gallyamov said that Putin is very angry and nervous about this. He is taking ill-considered steps, including the recent use of the Oreshnyk ballistic missile on the territory of Ukraine. This turned into a huge fiasco for Russia, Channel 24 informs.

Putin's problems

Abbas Gallyamov believes that the attack on the Dnipro on November 21 by the Oreshnyk ballistic missile indicates that Putin has no other opportunities to demonstrate strength. That is why he goes to such extremes, using untested weapons.

If Putin had other tools, he would have used them. In addition, losses have increased significantly in Russia in recent months (in Ukraine - ed.), said the political technologist.

In his opinion, the Kremlin dictator uses any resources to achieve at least some kind of result on the front in Ukraine by January 20, 2025, namely before the inauguration of Donald Trump.

The Moscow Times, with reference to Russian officials, writes that the launch of the Oreshnik ballistic missile over the Dnipro was carefully planned by the Kremlin. It was purely demonstrative in order to intimidate Ukraine and its partners.

Probably, Putin wants to show Trump the strength of Russia so that he forces Ukraine to agree to a ceasefire favorable to the aggressor country.

"The dictator tries to create such an impression, but most factors work against him. We are talking about failures in Syria and serious losses of personnel and equipment at the front," added Abbas Gallyamov.
