Ford Mustang sales have almost doubled, although there are no competitors. The American concern summed up the results of November, and the statistics presented a surprise. In November 2024, in the United States, the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover was 2,5 times more popular than the petrol sports car of the same name! The fact is that the classic Ford Mustang is not going through the best time: compared to the same period last year, sales fell by 45%.

At first glance, the failure of the Ford Mustang cannot be explained: the seventh-generation pony car has been on sale for only two years, and its main competitors, the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, have been discontinued. At the same time, for the first time, the family of sports cars suffered a resounding loss in sales of the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover of the same name: 2355 versus 5938 units.
American journalists explain the schedule with two factors. First, before Donald Trump takes office, there are rumors of a quick elimination of the $7500 electric car subsidy. Second, Ford dealers began to inflate Mustang prices: eight-cylinder versions were sold with a large difference from the manufacturer's recommended values.
However, Ford's bestseller remains the F-Series: 67,4 pickup trucks were sold in a month (+27% by November 2023). By the end of autumn, hybrids performed well: demand increased by 18,5%, and since the beginning of the year, gasoline-electric versions have found 42% more buyers. In the total volume of sales of Ford, the share of electrified vehicles is 15%.
