During searches, $7 million was confiscated from the Romanian citizen Bohdan Peschir, whose account was used to pay for a TikTok campaign in favor of far-right candidate Kelin Georgescu. This was reported by Agerpres, quoting officials of the Prosecutor General's Office of Romania.

As a result of searches at three facilities of Bohdan Peschira in Brasov, several computers and data carriers were seized. Because of them, investigators discovered $7 million in Peschir's account and confiscated it.


After the testimony was taken, they decided not to keep Peschir in custody and did not apply any other preventive measures to him.

It will be recalled that the candidate for the presidency of Romania, Calin Georgescu, officially declared "zero" expenses for the election campaign. However, it turned out that one of the TikTok accounts - bogpr, which belongs to Romanian citizen Bohdan Peshir, financed the campaign for more than a million euros. TikTok confirmed payments for $381. for the period from October 24 to November 24, directed to users who participated in the promotion of Georgescu. Users received rewards through the FameUp platform, as well as through the South African company FA Agency, which offered a thousand euros for sharing the video.

Thus, the Supreme Council of National Defense of Romania declassified the documents and according to them, Romania became the object of "aggressive Russian hybrid actions", in particular against the central election bureau and the permanent electoral body, on the day and night of the presidential elections on November 24.




As you know, the Romanian Constitutional Court annulled the results of the first round of presidential elections. Now they will have to start from scratch, Digi24 reports. The annulment of the results was unanimously supported by the judges. The decision is final and not subject to appeal.
