The Russian invaders will not be able to change the situation in the airspace after the transfer of planes from Syria to the war against Ukraine.
Aviation expert Anatoly Khrapchynskyi said this on the air on Radio NV.
The expert noted that the Russians in Syria had a "quite good" aviation component in terms of capabilities.
"It is clear that strategic aircraft such as Tu-95ms, Tu-160 or Tu-22m3, which they actively used for "carpet" bombing, were not permanently based there... At least, tactical aircraft such as Il-22 most likely were there Because it was the main component that helped to hit some cities even during the uprisings," Khrapchynskyi said.
At the same time, in his opinion, this Russian aviation component in Syria does not pose a threat to Ukraine.
"Because the number of planes is not enough to make a turning point. And once again, let's go back to the fact that the Russians did not take over the Ukrainian skies due to the fact that our military is actively working even thanks to the same MANPADS," Khrapchynskyi is convinced.
He added that Ukraine has nothing to worry about.
"It should be understood that in any case, Russia's losses directly in Syria are to our advantage," the expert added.
