While pro-Turkish formations are trying to take control of the northern and central parts of Syria, engaging in battles with the Kurds, Israeli troops have entered the country from the southwest.
As the Israeli authorities have already reported, they captured the buffer zone in the areas of the Golan Heights previously controlled by Syria. The western part of these heights has been controlled by Israel since 1967.
Moreover, the media write that the Israelis went beyond the buffer zone and attacked the settlements of El-Quneitra, El-Baas, El-Hamidia, and to the north – Khadr, which is important for Lebanon's communications through the Syrian territory.
At the same time, Israeli aviation is intensively bombarding targets in the south of Syria - in the area of Daraa and As-Suwaydu provinces.
Note that Israel, moving further to the east and southeast, can completely cut off these provinces from other parts of Syria. Although nothing has been reported about such plans of the Israeli leadership so far.
It is also worth noting that neither foreign countries nor the new government in Damascus expressed any protests against Israel's advance deep into Syria.
