For the second day in a row, the Chinese military is conducting large-scale training near Taiwan

China has stepped up pressure on Taiwan for the second day in a row by conducting large-scale military exercises near the island, this time involving 53 warplanes and 19 navy and coast guard ships.

The maneuvers of dozens of Chinese aircraft and ships near the island are reported in the daily report of the Taiwanese Defense Department on the X network, reports Ukrinform.

The types of air and sea vessels are not specified in the report, only that 23 aircraft during the training crossed the middle line of the Taiwan Strait, the unofficial border between the mainland and the island, and entered Taiwan's air defense detection zone from three sides. However, they did not approach the island at a dangerous distance and did not enter its airspace.

From the scheme published by the Ministry of Defense, it can be seen that the most aircraft of the Chinese Air Force practiced aerial combat techniques near the eastern and southwestern parts of the island, 28 and 15, respectively. These are areas bordering Japan and the Philippines, where American military bases are located and from where, in the event of a potential Chinese attack on Taiwan, primary aid to the island's defenders will come.

Several Chinese planes flew around Taiwan.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense said that the armed forces of the island are on high alert, monitor the actions of the Chinese military and are ready to respond in case of real danger.
