Artillerymen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces broke the record for the firing range of Krab self-propelled guns

Ukrainian gunners with the help of the Krab self-propelled guns set a record for the range of hitting the target thanks to the use of the Italian-made Vulcano GLR guided projectile. The declared result is 70 km, the representatives of PGZ Serwis Orel reported without specifying details about the time, place and type of the affected object.

The Ukrainian military provided Defense24 journalists with evidence of hitting a target at the specified distance.

The developer of this type of ammunition, represented by the Leonardo concern, is discussing with the Ministry of Defense of Poland the adaptation of projectiles for Krab self-propelled guns with further tests. According to preliminary data, the Vulcano GLR is already part of the armament of the K9 self-propelled guns in service with the Polish Army.

It was previously reported that a batch of Vulcano GLR guided projectiles with a semi-active laser guidance system and a programmable detonator had been handed over to the artillerymen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
