The use of scratched pans can lead to the development of oncological diseases, Poonam Desai said.
According to her, through scratches and chips on pans that have a non-stick or ceramic coating, microplastic gets into food, and it, in turn, can stay in the human body for a long time.
Desai called microplastic an "endocrine disruptor" because it causes the development of dangerous diseases, including liver cancer.
The therapist recommended not to use pans with a non-stick coating, and if this is not possible, to throw away such dishes even if they are slightly damaged.
