Wild rose petals have a complex effect on the body, strengthening immunity. Gardeners often grow rose hips in the country, so this is a good opportunity to cook useful jam from rose hips for the winter. The aroma of flowers, delicate and refined taste - wonderful treats with a minimum number of ingredients.

How to make jam

To begin with, you need to prepare the following ingredients:

  • 200 g of rosehip petals;
  • 0,5 kg of sugar;
  • 0,5 tbsp. + 4 tbsp. water;
  • ½ tsp. citric acid.

Combine 200 g of petals and 250 g of sugar in an enamel pan. In a separate glass, mix 4 tbsp. water with citric acid. Pour into a pan with petals, mix and leave for 6 hours.

At the second stage, syrup is prepared. For it, mix 250 g of sugar and 0,5 tbsp. of water and put on fire. You need to wait for the sugar mixture to boil, remove it from the heat and pour it into the petals that were infused for 6 hours. Now it remains to cook everything until ready.

The jam should cool down. Then it should be laid out in clean, sterilized jars. You can store it in the refrigerator or at room temperature.
