As reported by the Ukrinform correspondent in The Hague with reference to the police, five people were injured.
"Five victims of the attack in Amsterdam were taken to the hospital, 62 were detained," the police reported.
The police also said they are aware of reports of possible fans being held against their will and missing, but cannot confirm this at this time.
According to law enforcement officers, several people who were previously considered missing have already been found.
Due to the unrest, additional police teams will be on duty in Amsterdam in the coming days. In addition, additional attention will be paid to the protection of Jewish institutions and objects.
In a statement, the mayor of Amsterdam, the police and the prosecutor's office said the violence had exceeded all limits.
“Groups of individuals actively sought out Israeli supporters to attack and abuse them. There is no excuse for the anti-Semitic behavior that was demonstrated last night," the joint statement said.
Today, early in the morning, many fans of the Israeli football club "Maccabi" (Tel Aviv) were already at the "Schiphol" airport, accompanied by the police. Among the fans were also those who were supposed to fly tomorrow, but decided to leave Amsterdam as soon as possible.
"We do not feel safe. It was our fourth time in Amsterdam, but I'm sure it was the last time," said one fan in a comment to NOS.
According to the injured fans, in some cases these were planned ambushes, and some of the attackers ambushed Israelis in several points of the city as they were returning by train from the game. They would ask people on the street where they were from and then beat anyone they thought was Israeli.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, wrote on the X social network that he was "appalled by anti-Semitic attacks on Israeli citizens. This is absolutely unacceptable."
He condemned the attack on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam and assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that all those responsible would be brought to justice.
It is worth noting that the mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, banned the holding of a pro-Palestinian demonstration that was supposed to take place near the stadium where the game was held.
However, this did not stop about 300 activists who gathered nearby and shouted slogans anyway.
After the match, Israeli fans were attacked, including with knives.
Videos that appeared on social media showed brutal attacks by masked people, some of them carrying Palestinian flags and shouting "Free Palestine."
Several attempted kidnappings have been reported on social networks. The attackers also broke into the hotels where the Israelis stayed.
