A video appeared online showing a canteen called "SRSR" opened in occupied Siversko-Donetsk, which entrepreneurs set up in a dilapidated building of the former trolleybus depot.
In the footage, you can see that the building is in a deplorable state: broken windows, a destroyed roof, visible traces of destruction left by military actions. However, despite the obvious state of emergency of the building, there is a canteen in it, where visitors are invited, Chas Peak reports.
The author of the video calls it the "enthusiasm" of the local residents, trying to convey the feeling of the "Soviet atmosphere". Inside the dining room, everything is really organized in a style reminiscent of the Soviet past: simple wooden tables, classic dishes - compote, boiled eggs, cakes and other products familiar to that era. The video caused a lot of controversy in the network, because many consider such a discovery not a manifestation of enthusiasm, but an irresponsible decision on the part of the occupation administration.
It is obvious that the premises are unsafe for use: during filming, not only physical destruction is visible, but also non-compliance with any safety regulations. The lack of protective barriers, proper ventilation, and the emergency state of the infrastructure pose a real threat to visitors. The situation is complicated by the fact that, in case of any emergency, there is simply no warning and fire safety system here.
Local residents who remained in the occupied city are forced to adapt to such conditions, because the choice of establishments and opportunities for purchasing food is significantly limited. Such a situation clearly demonstrates the reluctance of the occupation administration to invest in the restoration of important infrastructure facilities, instead they create the illusion of "restoration" by opening similar institutions in dangerous conditions.
