Moscow claims that Ukraine asked the US for Tomahawk missiles with a range of 2500 kilometers because it is worried about the advance of Russian troops.
Kremlin leader Putin's spokesman Dmytro Peskov told reporters that "the dynamics on the fronts are quite clear and obvious." According to him, Ukraine's strategic actions, including the request for the supply of such missiles, are aimed not only at strengthening its own military positions, but also at the alleged involvement of Western countries in a full-scale war unleashed by the Russian Federation in 2022:
"All these "tricks", regardless of their secrecy, lead to the fact that Kyiv "up to the ears" involved the West in the conflict and legitimized it. That's how we see it."
Tomahawk for Ukraine
Previously, the New York Times wrote that one of the secret points of the Ukrainian victory plan is to receive Tomahawk missiles from the United States of America, which have a range of 2400 kilometers. An anonymous interlocutor called this demand absolutely impossible.
In one of the last interviews, Volodymyr Zelenskyy actually confirmed this information, indignant that the request for such missiles got to the media. According to him, these data were to remain between Kyiv and the White House.
