In Kyiv, police bicycle and motorcycle patrols stop working: the reason is given

In the capital, patrolmen of the cavalry company finished the season. Also, bicycle and motorcycle patrol inspectors will continue their service in car patrols until spring. Thanks to their maneuverability and mobility, the Metropolitan Cavalry Police on 18 horses and two-wheeled carriages helped reduce the burden on other police teams.

According to KV, this is stated in the message of the patrol police of Kyiv.

"During the warm months of the year, policemen of the capital's cavalry on 18 horses maintained order and ensured public safety of citizens in park zones every day," the post reads.

The patrolmen with their loyal partners monitored the observance of law during mass events and patrolled remote parts of the parks, where no car would pass.

Cavalrymen processed reports received on the 112 hotline and repeatedly identified persons involved in drug crimes or those who were wanted. During the patrolling of the forest park zones, they promptly responded to all appeals from citizens.

The bicycle and motorcycle patrol season is also over.

For 4 months, inspectors on bicycles and motorcycles promptly responded to calls and helped in case of need.

The patrol officers summed up the work of the two-wheeled crews:

• processed 2518 calls to line 112;
• issued more than 11,5 thousand resolutions for violation of traffic rules and public order;
• more than 46 vehicles that were wanted or had signs of fake parts and units were found.

Also, motorcycle and bicycle crews worked at road accidents, followed traffic rules and public order, and helped those who needed it. Inspectors will continue their service in car patrols until spring.

We will remind, the season of bicycle and motorcycle patrols started in Kyiv in May. More than 160 bicycle and almost 50 motorcycle patrolmen began to work. They maintained public safety in places of the greatest concentration of people, recreation areas. It is, in particular, about parks, squares, embankments, central parts of the city and other places that are difficult to reach quickly by car.
