In Kyiv, they plan to replace lying police officers with new speed control devices

In Kyiv, they decided to replace "lying down policemen" to improve the situation on the roads and reduce the number of accidents.

As explained by Bohdan Timchenko, head of the traffic development service of the KP "Traffic Management Center", asphalt concrete elevations will be installed instead of the old rubber structures. This is due to the fact that rubber "recumbent policemen" quickly wear out and sag.

Tymchenko believes that new asphalt concrete structures will reduce the speed of vehicles more effectively. It is also planned to install safety islands and build roundabouts to increase road safety.
