US President-elect Donald Trump has confirmed the appointment of Florida Congressman Mike Waltz as national security adviser in his incoming administration. This is reported by CNN.
“Congressman Mike Waltz has been appointed to serve as my National Security Advisor. Mike is the first Green Beret elected to Congress and previously worked in the White House and the Pentagon, Trump said.
He added that his future national security adviser is "an expert on threats from China, Russia, Iran and global terrorism."
"Mike has been a strong supporter of my America First foreign policy agenda and will be a great supporter of our pursuit of peace through strength!" Trump said.
