US presidential candidate Donald Trump has said that he intends to break up the alliance between Russia and China because, in his opinion, their association poses a serious threat to the United States. In an interview with the scandalous journalist Tucker Carlson, he expressed his belief that the policies of the current president, Joe Biden, contributed to the rapprochement of these countries.
"Look what these stupid people have done. They allowed the fact that China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and others united in a group - this is unbelievable," said Trump.
He recalled his interest in history in his youth and recalled a professor who seemed to emphasize that "the worst thing that can happen is the unification of Russia and China." Trump said that if he wins the election, he will work to weaken this alliance, because he believes that Russia and China are natural rivals.
"We united them because of oil. Biden united them - it's a shame and stupidity. I will have to separate them, and I think I will succeed. Russia and China are natural enemies. Because Russia has a lot of land, and China needs it. China does not have enough land for its population. They are natural enemies, and we allowed them to unite. This is very dangerous," said Trump.
The politician also expressed concern that the US could lose the position of the dollar as the world standard.
"If we lose the dollar as a standard, it's like losing the war," he added.
During the interview, Trump also mentioned rumors about his ties to Russia, which he said were inflated by Democrats in 2016 to support Hillary Clinton. He called those who consider him an ally of Putin "out of their minds".
"They always say that I am a supporter of Russia: I work for it or even am a Russian spy. This is simply absurd. Russia's largest project is Nord Stream-2, the largest gas pipeline from the Russian Federation to Germany. I 'stopped' this project, and it's my credit," Trump emphasized.
