Law No. 9665, which increases responsibility for storing firewood without documents, will apply only to those who chop and steal firewood in large quantities.
People's deputy Yury Kamelchuk stated this on the air of Novosti.LIVE.
According to him, there will be no checks on ordinary citizens.
"In fact, most commentators do not read the draft law and do not analyze what they are writing about. They are trying to slander all the initiators who are fighting against black foresters and corrupt officials from the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine", who, in fact, are leading them to this whole story," said the People's Deputy.
He assured that there will be no inspections of ordinary people regarding the amount of firewood for heating their own homes.
"One should worry only about those who steal and steal in large quantities - trucks. They can be jailed," the people's deputy concluded.
We will remind you that the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law that provides for imprisonment for a term of five to seven years for storing firewood without the necessary documentation.
