As reported by Ukrinform, Reuters reported this with reference to the office of President Yoon Seok-yol.
Pro-Russian hacking groups launched cyber attacks against South Korea after North Korea sent troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine, the Seoul presidential office said today.
Yol's office held an emergency intra-departmental meeting after discovering the consequences of attacks on some government and private websites in recent days.
Some websites suffered temporary outages but there was no serious damage, the office said, adding that the government would strengthen its ability to respond to such attacks.
"Cyber attacks by pro-Russian hacker groups on our country have occurred before, but became more frequent after North Korea sent troops to the Russian Federation and took part in the war in Ukraine," says the statement of Yola's office.
