Dumplings on mineral water - recipe
To prepare the dish, you will need a 250 milliliter glass of mineral water - be sure to choose strongly carbonated. You also need a chicken egg, half a teaspoon of salt, the same amount of sugar, 60 milliliters of vegetable oil - this is about 5-6 tablespoons, from 3 to 4 cups of flour. The last product should be added gradually and the consistency of the dough should be monitored.
First, beat an egg into a bowl and add sugar, salt, oil and mineral water to it. All products should be at room temperature. Mix everything with a fork or whisk. The flour should be sifted and gradually added to the bowl with the liquid ingredients. When the dough begins to form a layer, it should be laid out on a table previously sprinkled with flour.
Continue to knead the dough, gradually adding flour. You can grease your hands and the table with oil so that the dough does not stick to your palms so much. Try not to overdo it with flour, because the dough should be soft and elastic and not stick to your hands. Continue kneading it for 10 minutes, then leave it to rest in cling film.
