Volkswagen is preparing for the release of a new sports version Nivus GTS, which was spotted without camouflage. The photos were taken by Joaquim Ferreira and published on social networks. The prototype has green numbers indicating test status. The car received the Volkswagen logo and the GTS nameplate. There are no pictures of the interior yet, but the GTS version is expected to get new trim materials, trim badges and sports seats similar to those of the Polo GTS.
It was previously reported that the new Volkswagen nivus will receive other 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10,1-inch screen with an updated multimedia system, adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, wireless charging and climate control, as well as improved interior trim materials.
The car will receive a 130-horsepower 1,0-liter engine that can run on gasoline or ethanol. The equipment will include a 6-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. Details will be revealed in the first half of next year.
