The new Mitsubishi crossover will replace the Eclipse Cross: the first photos
Crossover Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross was first presented in 2017 as a car for young people. It was built on the GS platform shared with the popular Outlander and ASX models. However, over time, the demand for the model decreased, which made the manufacturer think about an update.
What is known about the new version
To revive interest in the Eclipse Cross, Mitsubishi is preparing a new model that may appear in the coming years. According to information from the Spanish publication "Motor.es", the successor of this crossover will be based on the Renault Symbioz model. From 2025, it will be produced under the Mitsubishi brand with the recognizable three diamonds on the emblem, and will also receive design elements of the new ASX, including the radiator grille.
The new version of Eclipse Cross will be one of the main innovations of Mitsubishi in 2025. Sales are planned to start in the summer. The car will be equipped with a self-charging hybrid HEV power plant with a capacity of 145 horsepower, a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
