Kia's biggest gasoline car, the Telluride, is getting ready to change generations. The current model entered the market about six years ago, and now the successor is undergoing tests with the final body. Recently, a camouflaged prototype was spotted on the streets of California.
The novelty is similar to the EV9 with an exhaust pipe. It will be more clumsy than the current Telluride. You can see vertical headlights and lanterns peeking out from under the camouflage on both ends of the car.
It is reported that the new Telluride will be equipped with a hybrid power plant. A turbocharged 2,5-liter four-cylinder engine may be offered alongside a naturally aspirated 3,8-liter V6.
The large SUV is the brand's third best-selling vehicle in the U.S. this year behind the Sportage and Forte. The premiere is expected next year, and sales will start by the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026.
