The CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group, Ola Kallenius, personally presented the prototype of the all-electric CLA, which should go into production in 2025. In the published video, the head of the company shows some features of the model and tests it on the road.
What else is worth knowing?
In the video, the manager interacts with the car's AI system. The appearance of the prototype is still hidden under camouflage, but you can see the final design of the headlights with the Mercedes emblem and appreciate the interior innovations.
The new CLA is built on the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) platform. Its engine will become the basis of future generations of electric cars. The platform allows the use of a two-speed gearbox and an 800-volt battery system, as well as fast charging with a capacity of up to 250 kW.
In addition to the fully electric version, Mercedes-Benz is also preparing a CLA hybrid model with a 48-volt system and an internal combustion engine.
