British blogger Mark Rowlands found it in the backyard old house things that are a real hobby for some people.
The author of the TikTok channel markshouseandgardenuk said that he has been living in a house with a 450-year-old history for two and a half years. He discovered old items in the ground when he began digging a wildlife pond in the backyard:
"You have to remember that 450 years ago there was no garbage collection - no one came on Monday morning to empty your bin. Therefore, a lot of garbage was simply thrown into a hole in the garden."
The man showed followers small clay pots and glass bottles of various shapes, sizes and colors. The inscriptions "Hankinson's Alterine", "Hall's Wine and Tonic" and "GF & A. Brown & Sons, Nantwich and Crewe" can be seen.
As he writes The Mirror, a bottle very similar to Hankinson's Alterine sells for £75 on eBay, while Mark's Hall's Wine and Tonic is asking around £40, dated 1910. Other bottles are also sold, but much cheaper.
In the comments, the man was told that he could find jars of jam or preserves from the early 1900s, as well as bottles that used to store medicine: "Dig deeper, hopefully you will find older items."
