The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has photographed the barred spiral galaxy NGC 1672, located 49 million light-years from Earth in the constellation of the Golden Fish.
This was reported by the ESA observatory, Ukrinform reports.
This galaxy is said to be a multi-faceted "light show" that displays an impressive array of different sources of celestial light.
Like any spiral galaxy, its disk is filled with billions of bright stars that illuminate it.
Near the center are some particularly spectacular stars; newly formed and extremely hot. They are embedded in a ring of hot gas and emit powerful X-rays.
In the very center is an even brighter source of X-ray radiation - the active nucleus of the galaxy.

SN 2017GAX can also be seen in the image. This Type I supernova, caused by the core collapse and subsequent explosion of a giant star, has gone from completely invisible to a source of new light in the sky in just a few days.
